San Field

Enjoy the many tastes of yuba in a single set meal

When in Nikko, you want to try the famous yuba first. San Field is recommended for exactly that. Its signature "Yuba Gozen" uses yuba from the long-established Nikko shops Fujiya and Ebiya. Through a variety of dishes, enjoy the differences in yuba's texture and flavor.

Nikko Yuba Maki Zen - ZEN

Enjoy Nikko's famous yuba in colorful creative dishes

Nikko Yuba Maki Zen - ZEN is recommended if you want to enjoy yuba in a different way. Its signature yuba rolls wrap ingredients such as wagyu with wasabi, and sea bream with mitsuba, in yuba. The appeal lies in the combination of yuba and fillings.
At lunch, there is also the "Nikko Yuba Maki Gozen," which centers on yuba rolls with small side dishes made from seasonal ingredients. Settle in between sights and take your time over a distinctly Nikko meal.

Myogetsubo

Steak in a building steeped in Nikko's history, overlooking the garden

"Myogetsubo" is a grill and steak specialty restaurant converted from the former lodging of Nissoin, which has ties to Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple. Enjoy your meal in a building surrounded by trees, looking out over the garden. Besides Tochigi wagyu steak, it offers Western dishes with a Nikko touch, such as beef hamburger steak topped with fresh yuba.
